The Other Side

Our first release in 2016 is also our 20th release, and who better to present an EP than the aptly-named 'Forte', an artist on our roster with a big year ahead of him. Forte joined the label in 2015 and has featured on This is Fracture Vol.1, and a brilliant FREE RELEASE that took off on our Soundcloud page. Now he is back with 'The Other Side EP' - two tracks from Forte himself plus an exclusive remix by Oliver Rees, who joined the label with a remix for our launch back in 2014, featuring on Boski's 'Dirty Sexy Freak'. Forte's 'The Other Side' is a Deep House track with garage percussions and an entrancing vocal. The kicks and hi hats compliment the bass as it rolls through the track, creating a sound that is distinct and crisp. 'Pressure' takes a darker turn, with the high pitched notes and FX contrasting nicely with deep and dirty bass stabs. The stuttering on the bass works particularly well, as does the lead synth which compliments the track wonderfully. Oliver Rees delivers a great remix once again for the label - his remix of 'The Other Side' puts a deep-tech slant on the original, with old school drums and a great build, plus strong chords running through the track, pausing only for nicely stripped back breaks.
